I'm using FS2004 since it came out, I know several things about FS2004, but I've always wondered why coastlines are sometimes so terribly inaccurate.
Last time I flew over Algiers city in the north of Africa and looking at the area top down, I got this picture, see
http://www.jive1.be/northafricaalgiers.jpgNow, I have the Genesis 76,2m mesh, I have the 'algeri.zip' of Toni Agramont, and I have also both 'algicity.zip' and 'algiers7.zip' by Riad GHENIM. These latters are partly photographic textured sceneries. Apart from that I have no scenery which covers that area, except of course the original FS2004 scenery.
I wonder now again why I got pritty good quality of the coastline within the Algiers bay, and why not somewhat west and somewaht east of the bay. In fact I don't see no coastline anymore, I see only square looking areas of straight line coasts without any variation at all.....
Something must surely not fit between these sceneries, which results then in a picture as shown with the link.
I tried moving up or down any of the mentioned sceneries by using FSNavDBC device, but nothing really helps....
The same thing happens in other parts of the world, and real coastlines desappear, whereas in other parts of the world I got coastlines as if they were made with 10m Genesis mesh...
Why is this so, and how can I improve these things.
