I recently read, ( and cant remember where) about the Harrier not hovering, ie, keeps going in a forward motion, I also have this problem, the article advised two things, 1) lessen the amount of fuel on board, and 2) it advised a file be installed, the name of which I didnt write down, anyone any idea,s on this.....TIA

I re-found the file in question, it is FSUIPC4, I unzipped it and read the text files, and to be quite candid, I simply didnt understand a single word I read so I didnt do the install, anyone any idea what this file is about, as i say in my original post in this thread, I had read this file was evidently required in order to Hover VTOL aircraft, having read the documentation Im not so sure, so I,ll hold back and let the experts out here advise...Cheers all

FSUIPC is needed for many FS applications.
You can trust it Wink

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

FSUIPC is a powerful tool , but I agree with you the text is difficult and requires  a lot of time and effort.
I tried reading it and fortunately gave up very early on.
However just having it loaded enables or facilitates instruments or processes .
Load it and check your    Hover you still need to dramatically lower the fuel to get a vertical take off.
Make sure you have also loaded the  Harrier hover package from memory its  rcbhc-15.
