Hi everyone,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I downloaded the Dutch Spitfire package a couple of days ago and it installs and flies well but all of the flight guages (airspeed, altitude, etc.) are missing in the VC.

Looking at the Panel.cfg, the VC is looking for a file named Hurricane_1 for these guages.  This file is missing in the download.

Is it possible to contact the authors of this package to get this missing file?  The e-mail address provided in the readme does not get a response.  Or, does someone know where I can find this file.

Thanks for any help and glad to be here.

Hi,

Can you give the link for the download, the only Dutch package I saw was for cfs2 not fsx.

May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs, but that is due to change Smiley

I suspect it's this one. http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=dutchspitfires.zip&categoryId=&...

hurricane_1.gau is one of the FS9 default gauges. I never understood why these weren't included with FSX.

Thanks Hagar for identifying the source of the file as FS9.

Before uninstalling FS9 I made backups of the aircraft and guage files.  I looked in the  FS9 backup guage folder and there it was.  Copied it to the FSx guage folder and there were all the flight instruments.  Hope this helps someone else.

Thinking about why it was not included and could only come up with maybe some sort of Copyright issue.  Just guessing.

Thanks Again

Glad you fixed it.

The FS9 default gauges are all compatible with FSX. Gauges for WWII aircraft which originated in CFS have been included with every version of MSFS since FS2000. My theory is they simply didn't think of it with FSX. Even then, they could have easily been posted as an official patch like the FS98 Converter. Roll Eyes

I've considered uploading an unofficial patch myself containing the common gauges but I'm afraid that would be frowned on.

The uploader seems to have forgotten to include the gauges he got from the original Seafire modified for FSX (I will fix this now and reupload the file)

Won't be frowned on Doug but if you don't want to do it send them to me and I'll post them.

There are 1000's of aircraft posted using default gauges - and many payware use default gauges.

OK - that file now contains the missing gauges
