A certain plonker (no names mentioned to protect the guilty Embarrassed) made the fatal mistake of announcing when he found out mother-in-law had got a laptop with internet access with her new job that not only could we now rap with them on Skype but that there was a spare webcam with my old rig in Hungary they could have...
Now so far so good on getting Brownie points, I then discovered I've totally lost the disk for the webcam I've got here and the manufacturers don't have a download option on their website! I've spent the day turning the house upside down. I've found a couple of lost items and several things I forgot I owned.... Bum! So I've got to go to Argos tomorrow morning and collect a new webcam to keep the clan happy...
There goes my bandwidth Roll Eyes

You can usually get manuals and drivers from other sources than the manufacturer.

I just found an old PCI modem in a box of parts.  It had a sticker on it that looked like a model number.

After a couple of minutes on Google I now have the manual and drivers.

A bad day at golf is better than a good day at work.

Sorry, I'd forgotten about that... I had to pull it apart but found the model number on a remote control's circuit board; put the number into the search engine and found a number of listings referenced to it, including some where other's had already inquired and someone was nice enough to upload the information.

By the way, Ozzy, we know you prefer Spitfires... but which Plonker number?
Huh

I've tried, alas I seem to have picked the one manufacturer that doesn't do this. I'm sure the disk will turn up sometime next week when I'm not looking for it.
Meanwhile I've got to setup the new one for the Clan and very nice it is too Cool
