There I was on take off run on grass... right wheel appeared to dig in and thru me sharply to the right.. I kicked in left rudder to try and get control at the same time takeoff occurred... dragged left wing down... cartwheeled.. slammed engine into ground and carried on cartwheeling... second impact of engine saw it plus the firewall bulkhead torn off!!!

So I walked over and picked my plane up lol

Engine was hanging just by the throttle linkage, two days later, repaired and back flying, isn't radio control wonderfull  Grin

May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs, but that is due to change Smiley

RC flight was something I couldn't really ever get into. All those tiny controls for that tiny, but expensive, aircraft. Plus my depth perception is not that great. It's good enough to fly a full size plane, but those models give me he'll. :p

Hi,

I enjoy it, spent lots of money on full size gliding, mainly aerobatics  and a bit of cessna 172 flying just for the experience, in RC it seems to happen that much quicker.

In Feb 95 I slipped a disc in lower spine, left me with some perm nerve damage, didn't work for 4.5 yrs so didn't fly again.

Mistake was saying to the wife ' shall I have one more flight before we go home'

Just 10 mins after being told to make sure I read/understand  the BMFA manual because I'm very close to taking my test, I redefined the 'one more flight' statement.

Wife's fault Grin  if  she had said no, let's go home lol it probably would not have happaned in the near future.
