provides some strange clouds. My initial reason for this flight, was to experiment with the effects of mixture and prop settings on manifold pressure,

prompted by an article Doug (Flying Trucker) provided a link to in my Lake Ella thread. However, one can only spend so much time fiddling with mixture

and prop settings and the real world weather became much more interesting. I had no specific destination in mind, only east. So shortly after leaving

Orcas Island KORS, I became lost in the enjoyment Mother Nature provided, and finally ended up at Twisp Muni 2S0, west of Okanagan.

FSX, we've come a long way baby! Skunk Works is an official alias for Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Development Programs (ADP), formerly called Lockheed Advanced Development Projects. Skunk Works is responsible for a number of famous aircraft designs, including the U-2, the SR-71 Blackbird, the F-117 Nighthawk, and the F-22 Raptor. Its largest current project is the F-35 Lightning II

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

I have to agree with Greg on that one. #3 is very intriguing Larry.. I haven't seen anything like that before in a shot. The airport is in the direct spot near the clouds where the real beauty shows. Amazing shots Larry Smiley  Can't believe how great those shots are Wink

Ooh...Awesome...wonderful shots...all of them... Wink

I have to say the last shot reminds me of some bugsmasher locations we have been at.

Sometimes when you drive down one of those old hangar lines you will see anything and everything but an aircraft in the hangar.  Motor homes, boats, snowmobiles, motorcycles, cars, trucks, like I said, just about everything but an aircraft.  That is tied down outside... Grin

Right glad you have an interest in power settings Larry, that opens a whole new avenue when flying on the flight simulator.
I think you will get a lot more enjoyment out of a simulated flight or you will scare the poop out of yourself... Grin

One of the things I meant to ask you and a few others is do you use FS Water Configurator at all when loading a flight.

I like the Freeware Program and some of the water textures are wonderful especially when flying around Alaska to some of the Float/Seaplane Bases.

Have fun and again thanks for the wonderful shots... Wink

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

I've been adjusting the mixture and prop settings for a while now, but am still learning how. No, I have not used FS Water Configurator  in a long time. I use REX for my water settings.
