It seems like Aerosoft released a brand new version (4X) of the Diamond DA20-100 Katan. By the look on their web page it looks like it's coming loaded with new goodies and is set to be very realistics. I never owned the previous version but I just might have to come up with some money for this one. The more I look at it, the more I want it!
Check it out!

last
purchase from abacus...

What was your last purchase from Abacus?
I've only got one add-on from Abacus, "Mission Blackhawk"... and I was very disappointed. Never bought from them again...

Just bought this recently too. Very solid addon. The Katana itself should normally be pretty straightforward to fly, but the depth included in this model is absolutely mouth dropping. If you leave your oil cap open, you will actually get oil stains on your cowling. If you leave your canopy unlocked, the whole thing might blow open! If you accidentally leave your choke pulled, you can actually lose your engine inflight (happened to me!
). You can get bug stains on the windshield. You can dent the skin. You can hear the sounds of everything. The aircraft even vibrates while running on the ground!
At one point, I was actually checked out on a real Katana. Even then, this addon still stumped me a few times in an embarrassing way. The learning curve is great. And its fun being able to actually take care of your plane.
Cheers,
RB

Fighter Pilot 2. The exteriors are by and large very good. The VCs look like chunky, clunky stuff from early-1990s flightsims. 'Member them? We've come so far in some respects, and are still in the blocks in others-- like at abacus...

Sorry to hear that homebrewer, looks like Abacus burns all their customers with poor quality... Like I said, I'll never buy anything from them again...

That really sounds like a great simulation, but wow, I think that plane is
horribly
ugly! Am I the only one that thinks this?

It really is tear-drop shaped, with skinny wings attached to it
I will give it to you, it's not my best looking aircraft, but I wanted a high quality trainer, and all the extras are making sure that I am happy with my decision
