I have noticed a few posts of......I think Doug would say "rag and tube" aircraft lately (this one appears to be partially constructed of aluminum panels).
Please correct me if I have the terminology wrong, Doug Smiley

This is the nicest freeware bi-plane I know of.....it was in one of the posts that  inspired me to go flyng in one of these contraptions........soooo much fun.
Function, in it's element.....pure joy Cool

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Ah, the Tiger Moth. Not the right Doug but I do know a bit about this lovely aeroplane. The fuselage is "rag and tube", steel tube covered with doped fabric. (The curved decking behind the cockpits is plywood.) The wings & tail feathers are of fabric covered wooden construction. The only aluminium panels are the engine cowling.

Beautiful shot Chuck. Smiley

And you are correct, it is one of the best freeware aircraft available.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
