Well let put it this way.

You said that your pc run fsx very well....could you buy it again for 400 quid. if you could then try to buy the closest you can to your exploded machine.

By the way where are you, US or UK?
400 makes a big diference between this  2 countrys.  Wink
Send your old specs. Its helps to give you an idea

Well, 400 quid is about $650 us, so you should be able to do pretty well for yourself. One word of advise. IF YOU CAN, AND YOU DON'T MIND TAKING THE CHANCE, with a little homework, the purchase of used parts vs. buying new would stretch your budget a long way. While it doesn't run FSX at what I would call "good performance levels", the rig in my sig cost me about $400 US buying used parts. Not bad, given they would likely have cost three times that much new a few years ago.  Wink

As far as what parts to get for FSX, I can't help ya, I'm still stuck a in my FS9 phase.

PC P&C 750 Quad, in a CoolerMaster HAF932

I got mine off Ebay for that much, it is a very nice machine even for being 4+ years old.  Kiss

Just look around, and do your homework.  Wink

I bought the pieces of my actual game PC, a Athlon 64 X2 6000 + MB Asus M2N + 4GB DDR II 800 Kingston + Gefo 9600GT 512Mb DDR III + HD 512GB (minus the case, power supply and DVD burner that I had already) for about 350 € in March 2010. I do not know how much that translates in £, nor my rig's ability to withstand the demands of FSX (and could not care less about it), but even if I'm quite satisfied by this rig's performances, I'm quite sure today one could get better hardware for the same amount of money. You should be OK. Smiley
