Goodly afternoon all... Smiley

Hurry up and wait...or...Time to Spare...Go by Air

FSX and Vista
FS Water Configurator set to Glassy Water
Weather:  Fog
3D Lights
HDE
Aircraft:  Beech 18 amphibian
Location:  Ganges Harbour "CAX6"
                British Columbia...Canada
Mostly all Freeware right here at Simviation... Wink

It is not all "Balls to the Wall Boys" meaning Pitch, Throttle and Mixture full forward to the firewall... Smiley

Patience is one of the most important traits an aviator can have.  Many times you only get to make one mistake...I know I should have been a cook... Grin

The old flying geezer (all of twenty-three years old) is with his First Officer (all of nineteen years old)... Smiley

Breakfast over...eight slices of bacon, three eggs, fried tators with onions and celery, heaping plate of beans in molasses, grapefruit juice, three coffees with lots of cream and sugar and lots of rye bread toasted and buttered... Wink

Quiet and peaceful...time to light the pipe and relax...
...

Dock hands are arriving...that is a good sign...
...

Okay number one...let's talk
Fog...yes it is burning off
Do we have enough room for a takeoff run?
What if we lost an engine on climb through the fog...where is the water and where are the hills?
Do you really want to make that kind of a letdown on water?
...

What's the rush...let's continue with the briefing...we don't have our limits yet...
...

Well done number one...you got your takeoff limits...my pipe is done...get the engines on and let's deliver these Beans...
...

Comments and advice most welcome... Smiley

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

FSX, we've come a long way baby! Skunk Works is an official alias for Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Development Programs (ADP), formerly called Lockheed Advanced Development Projects. Skunk Works is responsible for a number of famous aircraft designs, including the U-2, the SR-71 Blackbird, the F-117 Nighthawk, and the F-22 Raptor. Its largest current project is the F-35 Lightning II

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

+1 Doug Cool

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"
