I am an aeronautical engineer student at WMU and since WMU has a fleet of Cirrus SR20's and did/does have a smaller fleet of Cessna 150's I was wondering if anyone here could repaint the default Cessna 172, Cirrus SR20 V2 Six by GK, and the Cirrus SR22-GTS Turbo G3 again by GK. These two Cirrus packs I found as freeware on this website. In the readmes for the Cirrus free ware aircraft I did not see a notice about asking the authors for permission for a repaint, like wise I do not think that WMU's college of aviation would have an issue with this. If you think the College Of Aviation should be asked for permission, either I or anyone trying this can email them and ask.
Obviously I am thinking the WMU Cessna 150 paint scheme would be done on the default 172, they are pretty distinct aircraft. Some have brown and gold d-day style stripping on the bottom of the wings! The Cirrus' are sharp looking but not nearly as heavily painted as the 150's.
I would like to learn how to repaint aircraft myself, but due to course work I dont have a lot of time to learn it. Thanks to anyone who even considers this little project!
Go Broncos!

I'm not a painter, but thought you might be interested in the Just Flight free FSInsider FSX C152 for your C150 project.

Oh yeah! I forgot I had that one too. I snapped that one up the second they released it as free-ware. I agree though that it would also be a good one for a WMU repaint.

I got a reply from the College of Aviation about this project. The person who responded liked the idea but is not sure how the copy rights would be affected. So to be safe for now we can wait and see. Thank you all for taking time to consider this.

Update: This request has moved all the way the chain now at the WMU College of Aviation! Apparently, they are seriously considering this and really like the idea. With final exams this week and graduation stuff in full swing, it might be another week before I get an answer. Thanks again for your time guys!

WMU no longer has any Cessnas in their aircraft fleet, so the repaints for the Cessnas will not be a problem.
