It was requested from several people and the other moderators here that we merge the 'Pilots Lounge' into the General forum.
This will be going ahead.

Good idea. I never understood the difference anyway.

General.... For general things, not associated with a member.
Lounge... For general things which are personal to a member.
That's how I've always read it as. I never really found any difficulty in recognising the two boards.

correct ,I was about to post something similar but then I delete it , Lounge its even jokes among members while general its News or serious stuff ,
example WR-104 a star that could destroy the earth, the Japan tragedy ,I wouldn't post it in Lounge ,while If I find a coach roach in my coffee cup ,I would laugh then post it on it..
however I notice that also the forum has too many divisions and sometimes its confusing

Would the posts all be merged in one swoop? I guess I'll wait and see. It would make for a faster moving board, for sure.

All right, that's quite enough common sense for one day... we don't like that sort of thing around here...
I agree with this definition, but support the merger since the lines have been blurred for so long anyway. Opposing it has been like trying to turn back the tide with a fork

Works for me. I sometimes think that I understand the difference between the two forums, but when it comes time to post a new thread (a rarity for me) I'm usually confused as to where it should go. This change should clear that up.

OK the latest year of the 'pilots Lounge' was moved into General (here)
The remaining older posts have been moved to the admin forum rather than deleted. They are mainly personal 'messing around' postings that will not have any reference value but they are still available in the remote possibility that anyone had anything of value there.
