While the Bristol Beaufort may not be the homeliest aircraft in the hangar, she's up there in the top ten. She's so homely that she's cute. Wink

Ordered in 1936, she went into service in 1938 and held the line as a patrol and recon bomber until her pretty sister, the Beaufighter, came online in the early 1940s. Roll Eyes

I've had her on the workbench for a bit now and was going to abandon the project, but she started to grow on me....so I'm going to finish the job and get her posted soon.. (The main reason that I was going to abandon the project is that the visual animation of the left flap did not convert....but it's really not noticeable because of the split trailing edge.) Wink

OOOOW!! Is this conversion from the Alphasim model? Hopefully we can press her into service with the RAAF in New Guinea. Looking very good maestro! Cheesy

She is, in fact, a conversion of the AlphaSim FSX/FS9 Beaufort. And she is nearing completion....just some work on the AIR/CFG to tweak her flight dynamics. Cool

Her torpedo bay doors aren't animated at all (only the bomb bay doors are), so I'm just going to put the MC500 and MC1000 bombs in the bay, and then hang the new MKXIII torp recessed with the doors closed. Tongue
