The Stingray is a great little aircraft, fun to fly and quick, looks good as well, any chance of some different colour schemes, all over gray is a bit . . . . dull.
thanks

i don't know. let me download real quick and check the textures and readme. I might be able to help you out.

Okay, lets see here....
Okay, it gives permission, and i have the textures. The main body textures are pretty basic, and it's hard to tell where some parts go, but I can give you diffrent body colors instead of grey. I'll go ahead and get to work on a color pack.

I'm sure it would look pretty cool in some funky colors red green e.t.c
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

Man, I hit one thing I didn't think about before this. Data size. Man, these textures are so big my computer keeps running out of memory trying to edit them! the textures are over 15 MB
EACH
! I think I
might
have found a way to fix it, but it may take about an hour longer than expected, but I'm halfway done with a dark color package for it. I'll get to work on lighter ones right after this one.

On my project I am dealing with raw psds that are over 300MB EACH
THE basic working PSD are 20-30 MB each
If you can't handle 15MB then you have serious problems...that's not large for a graphics file

Which project is that?
And Club what are your specs? I have a basic comp and it handles that pretty well

CL-44 but the Superfreighter was the same.
The huge files are the raws with many things on separate layers
Once they are merged into fewer layer that size comes down a lot...the 20-30 are the working docs with the idividual paints being worked on
That is the on disk size
When opened they are about 56MB
Point is though when high quality graphics are concerned 15MB is small.
I worked in the reproduction industry whenre many colour pics for printing were 100MB+ per picture

Thing is, with the amout of diffrent colors I'm making, its adding up to be about 536.8MB, plus 4 internets (one playing a video), plus the program itself (takes a lot, it's actually programmed to make computer games, so it takes more than just image editors), plus a windows explorer, plus paint.NET, plus DXTbmp, and that equals a TON of data. Probably atleast 1-2 Gb.
Mostly because my editor has to open all the images AT ONCE. And also because it's kinda messed up. I don't know what it is, but it just does some odd things, because only IT will run out of memory, not the rest of my computer, and if you make too much in one game, for some reason, only the save function might not respond, but the rest of the program will still work. try to save it again, it might work that time. It's just messed up somehow. I should have rephrased that on my earlier post. My computer runs fine, only my editor runs out of memory, nothing else.
By the the colors are done. There are 16 colors in the dark pack. All that's left is for me to convert them to work in FS and put them through my tester.

Thing is, I love the thing. it works
perfectly
in sync with the way I edit. And if it does run out of memory, all you have to do is shut it down and reopen it and it's fine again.
It works so well for me I got this whole package of 16 done in about 1 hour. Using Paint.NET or some other program, I may never have gotten it finished.
