took a few aircraft out the hanger today.

it was a beautiful day for flying!

first up, a dawn flight around Ilheus in my trusty cherokee!

...

then got bored and fancied something a bit faster!... i know its a default paint but i liked the shot.

...

...next in the air was the B17... (not in the air for long  Grin )

done some touch and go's in it, and eventually wore out (smashed up) the gear and ditched it at the side of the tarmac!! its a good job she bounces!!

...

Bonus shot of her resting... (love how the crew at this point informed me that something might be wrong...  Grin )

http://www.simviation.com/phpupload/uploads/1300032035.jpg

Next trip out was from my recently downloaded Vashon Island from FTX. Took the twin cessna out for a hairy ride!

...this shot depicts me desperately trying to get the aircraft to a safe height to clear the approaching trees at the end of the runway.

...

coming back in to land, aircraft trimmed to perfection  Undecided ... NOT GOING TO STALL NOT GOING TO STALL NOT GOING TO STALL!!!

...

...touch down!! not exactly central, but im not in the ditch to my right so i can breathe  Shocked  Undecided  Cheesy

...

and BRAKES!!!!

thanks for looking, part two out todays random flight to follow.

comments and criticism always welcome!

Happy flying, Deano  Smiley

Great shots Deano.......I really like the B-17 shots. We don't post shots of our flub ups often enough I don't think Wink

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Are you sure you didn't just nail the gear just to see those engines get crippled? I mean come on that's the only thing that's fun after a three hour trans-atlantic flight... Breaking the gear...  Grin

A few others should admit to this... You know who you are... patchz  Roll Eyes

I went outside once. The graphics weren't all that great.

I guess i might as well be totally honest... some of my touch and goes were @full throttle starting from 25,000 ft  Roll Eyes

reflecting back on the situation, my final approach speed may have exceeded 300 knts during a short lapse of concentration. i reallised something was wrong when the rest of my (Accusim) crew started screaming.... and my right ailerons and flaps ceased to move  Undecided

a quick overhall and it'll be back in the skies  Wink

cheers for the comments!

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

FSX, we've come a long way baby! Skunk Works is an official alias for Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Development Programs (ADP), formerly called Lockheed Advanced Development Projects. Skunk Works is responsible for a number of famous aircraft designs, including the U-2, the SR-71 Blackbird, the F-117 Nighthawk, and the F-22 Raptor. Its largest current project is the F-35 Lightning II

thanks!

...but there are no piper cheyennes in these shots  Wink

the twin seen in the last few is the MILVIZ cessna 310. i would highly recomend both the Milviz cessna and DA piper. the cessna is a great alternative to all those carenado aircraft!! more detailed systems, detail just as good!

but if you want something faster then the DA piper cheyenne is beautiful. a little more challenging to control its speed, I often find it running away from me! but a great plane.
