This is the only Angel Falls I can find. http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=angel+falls+&categoryId=

I wouldn't consider it ideal for a beginner as it requires mesh scenery to be installed. Quote:
THIS SCENERY WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY WITHOUT MESH INSTALLED FOR THE AREA.

Before giving detailed installation instructions it would help to know which OS you're using. WinXP, Vista or Win7.

I was afraid of that. It might be best if someone with Win7 can help you out.

I tried Angel Falls in my own FSX (WinXP). Installation is straightforward & the mesh is impressive. I've given up looking for the falls. My advice is to try another scenery to begin with. There's plenty to choose from.

Exactly what don't you understand Bigdog, collecting all of the scenery assets, or, how to put it into your scenery library ??

Cheerz.  Transport Steve.

P.S. I use Windows XP, I'm unsure why using Windows 7 will prevent you from playing with this scenery !!!

Win7 has a glitch that causes scenery installation problems.  There's a work-around, but I've had problems with some sceneries even with the work around.

what EXACTLY is the problem with you not being able to add scenery in FSX that is running on a WIN7 platform?

the steps would generally be the exact same if you were running XP or Vista.  Nothing has changed INSIDE of FSX.

I too have noticed a bug being that I am on Win7 Home Premium (sp1), and have an FSX (sp2 - NON ACCELERATION) install. [ I have FSX deluxe, and the web-install of sp2 is good enough for me for now. ]

depending on what your EXACT problem is, with error messages someone might be able to help you out.  But to say that you are having a problem following directions, that is a different problem altogether.

FSX Mesh South America Installation:

     Create a folder (anywhere in your HD) and call it FSX_MeSA (could be any other name). That folder should  be activated before the  first load. In that  folder, create  another one  and call it Scenery (no other name is allowed for  that subfolder);

I don't quite understand this.I click on the white area where the video said and sometimes it works and sometimes it don't.

I must admit this is rather confusing. Here's how I would do it. (This applies to all scenery although most addon scenery comes ready configured.)

Create a new folder in your FSX\Addon Scenery folder. Rename it FSX_MeSA (or any suitable name).
Open the new folder you just created & create another folder inside it. Rename this folder Scenery. You should now have a parent folder containing a subfolder named Scenery. (The mesh uses default textures which are already installed. Scenery areas with their own textures will also need a Texture subfolder.)

To install the mesh paste the BGL file (FSX_MeSA_D02.bgl) into the FSX_MeSA\Scenery subfolder. Start FSX & activate it from the Scenery Library. The FSX_MeSA folder only needs activating once. If you wish to install other areas of South America mesh simply paste their BGL files into the FSX_MeSA\Scenery subfolder. The new areas will be activated the next time you run FSX.

I hope this explains it. Scenery installation for FSX is basically the same as for FS2002 as explained in my Scenery Clinic. http://www.simviation.com/lair/fs2002sc.htm
The South American mesh works fine for me on WinXP. If you follow the instructions in the video for activating scenery on Win7 you should have no problems. From what I can see of it this involves an extra step of clicking in the folder after selecting it. This should be straightforward enough providing the scenery is configured as described above. Unfortunately I have no way of trying it for myself.
