Awesome shots Wade...well done... Wink

I kind of figured you Western boys didn't fly your float buggies off the snow like some of us Ontario folks do.... Roll Eyes     Lips Sealed     Grin

Just kiddin Wade... Grin

Good luck on your flying... Wink

OOPs just noticed...they left the skis down on those parked aircraft...something we never did...they were left in the up position so they would not freeze to the ground....what is the reason for that Wade... Smiley

I also notice the Beaver on floats has the flaps left down?

One of the things the readers can take notice of in this picture with the Beaver on floats is the rope hanging down from the port and starboard wing tie downs.
This is to allow dock hands to use when parking the aircraft at the dock.

Doug, I have seen videos of floatplanes taking off on snow... never seen it in person though... must be an eastern thing?  Grin

I'm not sure why the skis on the Turbo Beaver are down, maybe becasue it had just come back from a flight and was going out again shortly...

I believe the flaps are left down on the Beaver to let snow slide off the back.  Grin

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
