Columbus, OH—Today we are pleased to announce, that Ohio Express Virtual Airlines is ahead of the planned schedule that was in the last press release. We stated that operations would not commence until the beginning of April. Ohio Express plans to launch on March 21, 2011. Ohio Express is a new virtual airline which will be based out of Port Columbus International airport and was founded by Chief Executive officer, Justin Caughenbaugh in early July 2010. Ohio Express will start taking applications for pilots on March 7, 2011. You can apply now however the applications will not be approved until the 7th. Ohio Express chose Port Columbus as their Primary hub and location of headquarters because CEO Justin Caughenbaugh saw Ohio as a gateway to major destinations without the headaches of high airline volume. “Now when I say High airline volumes, what I mean by that is the amount of airline traffic coming and going from the airport. So as port Columbus is fairly busy I feel as if we can operate our airline with on-time performances about 99.9 percent of the time without having the worries of a ten to thirty minute delay because we are sitting on the taxi way waiting to take-off. Now I do understand weather in Columbus can be quite challenging but we will get through it.”

Our Fleet & Destinations

Ohio Express announced earlier in the week that they will lease three brand new aircraft:

•      1 Embraer 145
•      1Boeing 737-800w
•      1 Airbus 319

With this fleet we are going to utilize every plane on 25 routes, ranging from the northeast, Midwest, southeast, and even Nassau Bahamas to start. The routes are already in the system and ready to go.
