Thanks, John.   I'm a bit slow getting to fly this mission because the real world is eating into my sim time lately, but I hope to see you develop an complete campaign for the P-51 and the Aussie 77th.  Roll Eyes

I know how much work putting together even a short campaign can be, but it's usually worth the effort.   Cool

I trust some of our other members are giving you some good feedback on the pacakge.  Smiley

so the question comes down to depth and complexity. best bet would be to use the mold already made (hence the FoxFour Korean War senerio)

i'm consedering a campaign using the Mustang and the Meteor. (10 to 20 missions Shocked )

Why the RAAF No 77 squadron? well they were the only squadron to use the meteor in the Korean war. and they did some remarkable things with both aircraft. they were there in the muck and mire helping us during the Chosin Res withdrawal (when the Marines were almost oblitorated). actually they were thier from day 1, escorting our b29's.

that is why I have chose them. during my research i have found a great story. and like all great storys it needs to be told.  where they the best? did they do more? well i'll let the history speak for its self.

so its off to work i go.

oh please tell me if the mission is to tough. i know some hate the Flak. and like wise if its too easy. I find on the easy setting it work fine. i get shot down about 45% of the time if i try to do it without my wingmen helping.

is there a good YAK-17 out there?

The use of the YAK-17 in Korea would be bogus.   The only version used was the YAK-17UTI trainer and it did not fly in combat over Korea.  It's sole use was as a trainer for the MiG-15 until the MiG-15UTI became available in late 1950.  Roll Eyes

NOTE:A Marine F3D crew did claim one YAK-17UTI shot down on a night mission over the Yalu River, but it was later confirmed as being a MiG-15  Huh

yup no YAK-17s. here is the info for them on this site

http://www.korean-war.com/KWAircraft/index.html

so scrap that idea. it seems there were more types of UN aircraft than any other.
