I wanted a good bush plane to explore the great white north. The default DC-3 is great, especially with the awesome 4some ski variants found here on Simviation, but sometimes it's just too big. The default Beaver is great, but limited and sometimes it's a little too big. The Cub is wonderful but sometimes it's too small, size wise and power wise. Solution...Carenados C185f Bush series. Four variants, tundra, floats, skis and amphibian. Enough room for all your gear and a couple cases of scotch whiskey (Thanks Doug). And if you get tired of the same liveries, patchz has uploaded some awesome repaints. Can't wait to get this old girl cold and wet.
(I know the scenery isn't the great white north, I just got excited about this plane and lost track of where I was
)
Model featured, amphibian

I have the same problem Doug.
Great shots Greg.
Welcome to the Bush world. And having an amphibian means it doesn't matter where you fly.
I knew you would love the 185.
Thanks for the kudos.
BTW, Mike (TRflyman01) has some great repaints for it uploaded too.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Awesome shots Greg, that is one of my favorite aircraft.
You'll be able to get in to just about anywhere with it
"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Thank you Chuck. I think I'm going to wear out my 'puter flying this baby. All Larry's fault!

In this case, it is an honor to take the blame.

That plane was the first payware aircraft I ever purchased.....I think Larry may have had something to do with that too......possibly indirectly through screenshots, but his fault regardless

I usually get blamed for the bad stuff. I'll take this type all day.
It was the first one I bought too.

Goodly afternoon Greg...
You are quite right...the old girl and several other nattering nannies are in the sitting room and since it is almost 16:00hrs here it is time for a wee toddy before they get it all...
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
P.S. A freezer full of meat
A refrigerator full of other goodies
A stocked bar
And she wants to go out for supper...don't figure...
