One down, one and a half to go. As with the fuselage, it is a case of read the instructions and then use them as a rough guide. This lower half took me well over a week to do (although it was a couple of hours here and 15 minutes their), the other will take less time as I know the pitfalls and short cuts.

Even if you have studied the plans in depth, and you still aren't too sure of what you're doing - you can always just ...WING it ..........
Sorry Matt, I had to...........persevere pal, it's gonna be well worth it in the end......looking good !

Winging it, you are not wrong Ken. The kit comes with five or six sets of plans. There are two sets for the wings. A basic set for rib and spar assembly and then a second covering hardware and rigging. I built the wing on the rib and spar plan, then transferred it to the hardware plan and not a single thing lined up on the drawing
I thought I had erred in a big way and the wing is assembled with super glue. After much head scratching, rude words and Googling it turns out that the hardware plan is half wrong. All the hardware in drawn in the correct places, just the ribs are drawn 1/8" to the left

Hi,
What wingspan is the camel and will it be a radio control version when finished?
Engine? 4 stroke or 2?
regards
Steve
May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs, but that is due to change
13/07/11 Passed BMFA Fixed Wing 'A' test.

Hi Steve,
The model is exactly what you see. It is a static model. The idea is that you get to see what would be under the fabric if it had any. The detail is quite high, for example when you move the stick, the corresponding flying surface moves. Google 1:16 Sopwith Camel and you will find some finished examples. The wing span is 21 inches (530-ish mm)
