ok guys, as the title says, I have to 2 programs.

I am trying to get rid of some trees, but for whatever reason EXCBuilder will not cut down the trees.  I have noticed that it will not create .bgl files, but it will make the .xml.

I have learned that it is okay to have "Exclude.xml" in the ADDON SCENERY / (AREA) / SCENERY folder and it should read.  But it will not write the .bgl file.  -- yes i went to SETTINGS and told it where BGLcomp.exe is stored, but it will still not write the file.   -- does BGLcomp.exe need to be in the ExcBuilder.exe folder????

also.. does anyone know of a way to get rid of the autogen trees / house that Ground Environment Pro creates??? Do I need to move my new scenery file to the top of the list of the Scenery Library?

The xml file will not be read by FS, you must have the .bgl.

The bglcomp.exe (and bglcomp.xsd) files do not have to be in the ExcBuilder folder but when you run Excbuilderv2 you must click on Settings and make sure it points to correct path for the bglcomp files.

Added-re-read your post so apparently you have the bglcomp path set. Another reason the bgl may not be written is if the coordintaes are not in their correct north-west corner, south-east corner order.

The good way to assure correct order is slew in the 'top-down' view. Make sure the top-down view is north oriented and press the space bar to north orient your aircraft.

ill take a look and see what i might be doing wrong, i think i did do it NW / SE corners... but with Ground Environment Pro, i do not know if FS9 is reading AUTOGEN tree and building textures, or if GEP has its own set of rules as far as autogen.  (i thought it just put textures into the FS9/Texture folder, and told FS coordinates to place Xtexture for building or tree.

ugh.. time to go digging.
