Pretty awesome actually...

I've been hoping for a BWB since they first mentioned it like back in 2000 or something so I think it'd be cool if Boeing finally went through with it.

Boeing now has their 787 Which is the competition for the upcoming A350. So it'd be cool to see the BWB be the competition for the A380 considering back in 2000 Boeing said the BWB could carry upwards of 1000 or more people at half the cost.  Shocked

Just my 2 cents worth.  Smiley

P.S. is it just me or does it look like the Lockheed design would rip the tail right off from so many flights and all the stress it would take.

I doubt we will ever see a real BWB such as the Boeing artist concept.  Boeing did look into it, but there isn't much of a market.  Namely, passengers like to be able to see out.  In a typical narrowbody, 1 in three has a window seat, on something like the BWB, that might be as low as 1 in 30 or more.  Can you imagine being stuck sitting in the center of that aircraft, with not a single window in sight from your seat.  I know I would get motion sick.
