I've been wanting Virtavia's (Alphasim) AS365N Dauphin for a while now, and finally broke down and got it. I checked with them first to make sure it was native FSX. The reviews were not kind, but I am happy with it. I
think the main complaint was the VC. True, it is not up to today's standard, but I like it simple and it satisfies my needs. It is very stable and as helicopters go, easy to fly. Now if I can just adapt my repaints of Antti
Pankkonen's FS9 model.
Thanks for looking.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Great shots.......cool helicopter
I can't wait to see some re-paints
"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

I have it too. Nice chopper, faaaast too! So far I like their Seasprite the best, but I've been thinking about getting their Sea King for the past week. I might cave in tonight
If I do, I'll be sure to post some pics!

Well, I don't spend money on anything else except diabetes meds, food, and a little JD.

Great shots!
Does the craft have that great engine whine, especially in the doppler effect?
Happy Flying, Le Pew
FSX, we've come a long way baby! Skunk Works is an official alias for Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Development Programs (ADP), formerly called Lockheed Advanced Development Projects. Skunk Works is responsible for a number of famous aircraft designs, including the U-2, the SR-71 Blackbird, the F-117 Nighthawk, and the F-22 Raptor. Its largest current project is the F-35 Lightning II

I was going to ask the same question. I see these whirly birds daily here in the Bay Area, patrolling the San Francisco Bay, buzzing the freeways, and they have a distinct sound.
Sounds like a rusty crankshaft flying through the air...

Yes, well sorta. I used to love the way it sounds, but when I got the Huey, it ruined it for me. The Huey sounds like...
a Huey.

I can tell you what kind of (military) helo is flying overhead without looking, just by the sound. They only ones I have a hard time distinguishing is the Cobra and the Huey, they use the same engine and blade so they sound the same. Usually I assume it's a Huey though.

I imagine there are a lot of dead enemies that made that same wrong assumption.
