Hi guy's. I'll try to keep this short. I downloaded Bill Alexanders MD80 Panel. Upon selecting the plane I get the message Flight Sim was unable to load some aircraft or software etc then it say's File:GUAGES\RobSound.GAU   The panel will load if you keep ok'ing. Any ideas? thanks Peedy

Robsound.gau is corrupt or messed up... or it is not inside your FS9 / GAUGES folder at all.

check to see if it is there, and if it is there is something wrong with the file.

Where did you find this bird? link would be nice.  i might be able to take a look at it and let you know.

Capt. Propwash, thank you for your quick reply. The panel can be found on page:
http://simviation.com/1/search submit=1&keywords=md80&x=15&y=10
It's the 10th entry, Bill Alexander panel. I think I already had the plane which has the default 777 panel, I can't find it on SimV but it was fac_MD80.zip. FlyCal livery. Hope all this helps you. Your help is appreciated. Thanks, Peedy

Capt. Propwash, Hi again. I have now found a cure/compromise. The internet told me the RobSound guage controlled the pushback and taxi speed so I deleted the guages from the panel cnfg file,(I did copy it first), I now have a perfectly working panel without pushback/taxi speed guages but that is easy to work round as you know. Shift P 1or2 does that. Thanks once again for trying to help me. Peedy

glad that you got it sorted for the moment. Im still going to find that MD80 and take a look at it.

just noticed this in the discriptions::

Quote:
FS2004 MD80-90 Panel. (Category: FS2004 > Panels)
2.68Mb (7411 downloads)
FS2004 MD80-90 Panel. Eric Ernst passed his FS98 bitmap on to Tom Dennis for a re-work to use in FS2002. Now, with Tom Dennis' permission, I made it FS2004 compatible! It includes Rob Berndregt's excellent taxi speed/pushback gauge which are easy to use. All documentation and instuctions are included. You will enjoy flying your FS2004 DC-9 or MD80 through MD90 aircraft with this beautiful panel. Kind Regards, Bill Alexander. 2.7MB FS2004 MD80-90 Panel Fix. You must have the FS2004_MD80-90 Panel (above) installed! Just overwrite the original panel config with this one to improve the gauge alignment. For the "fussy" simmers like myself! By Bill Alexander. 3K

dont know if you saw it, i almost did not... but here is a Panel fix for this panel in question....

just out of curiosity, but do you have

[OLDMODULES]
FSsound.dll=1

Listed in your FS9.CFG???  If not, it would not hurt to put it there; anywhere.

Hi again. I did see the fix but it is a broken link. All I get is page cannot be displayed. I will check the cnfg file and add the DLL if it's not there. Thanks for your continued interest. Peedy

For pushback & taxispeed control try this gauge

http://www.flightsim.com/kdl.php?fid=90580

I find it indispensable  Wink
