weather that is. I picked a bad day to go flying down under. Real world weather and winds aloft of 30-40 knots. The little Twin Star got blown all over the place.
Leaving Hobart, headed for Launceston.
Updrafts and downdrafts scared me silly.
Part II
Thanks for looking.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Great shots Larry......very realistic looking
Your shots make this aircraft more intriguing than the shots at Iris
Makes me wish I would have spent five more dollars
"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

The funny thing is, I did not like it that much at first. But it probably had a lot to do with the jaggies and low FPS I was getting at the time. Now, I love it.

Just yesterday my framerates went South for no apparent reason.........ended up having to un-install and then re-install my video card and drivers
For me, FSX is like my old 4 wheel drive. Sometimes, I spend as much time under the hood trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with it as I do enjoying it when it's working right

Ditto! Except I am not a mechanic or a tech.
Sometimes I wish I had my lifted '78 Scotsdale with 35" tires back, but with an automatic.

That's funny, the one I miss was a '79 Silverado, almost the same truck. Also with a lift and 35's.....beer bottle brown (I don't think that's what the factory called the color) and lots of chrome. I like to think it looked like the truck from The Fall Guy

I had forgotten about that truck. It was a nice one. Don't know what color mine was originally, but it had been repainted in black Imron. No chrome except for the mirrors, but it had an 8,000 pound Warn winch on the front. I buried it up to the frame a couple of times and would probably still be there if it weren't for the Warn and a couple of snatch blocks.

Not to hijack the thread here, but we are speaking my language here
Two old favorites of mine - 79 F-250 with a 460 Dove on granny gears, 4 inch lift, I think it got 8 mpg and only went about 60 mph, but it would pull an 18 wheeler if you asked her to.
And my beloved 98 Ram 2500 Sport Quad Cab, 360 V8. I geared this one more for off road speed, gave it a 6 inch Rancho lift with 33 inch BFG's. It was like off roading in a Cadillac with my fully loaded interior and the beat to snot exterior lol.
Got married, she made me sell her, something to do with me loving the truck more than her, I don't know. But after 5 years of marriage she is finally letting me get another big truck! This summer I'll be back in the saddle!

You can't hijack a party Truck, only join in. Old 4 wheelers never turn away a kindred spirit.
Maybe it's not the right section for a discussion of this nature, but I have no problem with it at all. I like 4WD. Saw a lifted jeep the other day and for a moment thought, "I wouldn't mind having one of those."

Very nice shots Larry...well done...
There is something about the looks of that aeroplane that I am not sure about.
I am not sure I like it or not.
It looks fragile to me although it probably is not.
It will have to grow on me like the Republic Seabee, then I bought one...

Thanks Doug.
It's not fragile, as far as I can tell. But it is light and I've never had one tossed around like that by winds aloft. On the other hand, I don't remember 40+ knot winds before either.

L.T. both sets of pictures are magnifique as usual.
Love or hate the looks, that's got to be one fun plane to fly!
Far be it from moi to jump on any bandwagon
Thought you might like to see my latest 4WD...
Or was that a dream I had on tuesday?
FSX, we've come a long way baby! Skunk Works is an official alias for Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Development Programs (ADP), formerly called Lockheed Advanced Development Projects. Skunk Works is responsible for a number of famous aircraft designs, including the U-2, the SR-71 Blackbird, the F-117 Nighthawk, and the F-22 Raptor. Its largest current project is the F-35 Lightning II

Is that what we are going to use for transportation ten years from now?
