Hey Folks! Is it possible to allow AI helo traffic to exist in the new sim? Can they made to taxi correctly to the proper runway, fly correct patterns, and land/park in the proper places?

We don't know yet: MS hasn't released a vid of helo performance, nor have they posted anything containing such information.
I guess you mean "I would like to have improved helicopter performance, etc, etc . . ."

New Light, you do realize MS is developing Flight, not SimV, right?

I like that idea too, there is a field somewhere in NY state that I've driven past several times, and it seems, no matter the weather, there is ALWAYS sailplanes and hang gliders up. Great idea!

What I was asking for consideration is, can/would MS "Flight" allow AI helicopters to perform and operate at airports as they would in reality. Would we be able to use a program such as Airport Facilitator X to use any helo pad properly? Will, or is it possible for "Flight" to allow helos to take of/land at their assigned runways, taxi properly (hover) to/from the proper parking place at the airport? Will we be able to hear Jetranger, Eurocopter, Westland, etc., called by ATC just like all of the fixed wing aircraft? That kinda stuff. Thanks!

Again, we don't know, as Flight is still in development. But if your meaning is that you would like for this to be possible, then, yes. MS should definitely improve the helo dynamics, since they have been sorely lacking in the previous installments. It would be wonderful to overfly NYC and see a few helos circuiting the the city and know that there were conscious pilots behind them, creating a true "air-world", where each aircraft was being controlled by a real person in real-time.

There you go, that's what I'm talking about.
I live down on the gulf coast of Louisiana where there a lot of helos flying to/from oil rigs, Coast Guard helos patrolling just offshore from Key West, FL to Brownsville, TX, ICE, DEA and other law enforcement helos have increased dramatically in my area since Hurricane Katrina in '05. In fact, during and since then, law enforcement (of all agencies), Air National Guard and the Army National Guard have all set-up-shop at my home airport, KHDC (Northshore Regional, Hammond, LA). I'd like all that action to come alive in FS if possible. And yeah, having helos touring cities would also be great if possible... I'd be happy with just being able to write a AI traffic.bgl for some helos (even if it's just point to point like the fixed wing AI traffic.bgl's) with ATC calling the helos properly and the AI helos being flown properly.
