ok, let me preface this thread by saying I've been reading these forums daily to learn as much about computers as I can. What I'm finding out is I have a lot to learn!

So here's my questions regarding video cards ...

I've been checking out the cards at newegg.com and am deciding between the gtx470 and gtx570. Seems that many companies make these cards (asus, evga, others) - which company is better? Will there be a noticeable difference between the 470 and 570? FYI, I plan to build around a core i7 2600k.I

Also, it seems that there are multiple gtx470 and 570 cards with different specs (superclocked, different core speeds, etc). What specs should I look for? The only game I plan to run is fsx.

Thanks to everyone in advance.

Both are very fast cards. Hard to say whether it would be noticeable, but on average the GTX 570 is 20% - 25% faster. GTX 470 is somewhat louder also. IMHO, wait till GTX 560 comes out (a month, or less, according to latest "rumours"), or get GTX 570.

Plenty of brands are good, the difference is mostly warranty and support. eVGA have good support or so I've heard. If a Superclocked card (or a card with increased clock speeds over the others) is only a little bit more $, then you might as well get it.
