We have had 27.4 inches of snow in the last three weeks. This picture is actually from two weeks ago.

Not bad .....we only had 300cm in the past week...for the layman, that's just about 10 ft ....

Got something like 30 inches in this area, starting Christmas night... not too bad, but the wind!!! Traffic was paralyzed... Two drivers got stuck just outside my door in the wee hours, so I amused myself watching them struggle fo a while, then went down with a shovel and helped them out. Good thing I didn't have to drive anywhere, because the vis was so poor even
I
wouldn't have wanted to be out there!! It was horrific... been a long time since I've seen a winter gale like that in this area.
The good news for me (other than not having to brave the slippery mess in my very un-snow-worthy Mustang the last few days) is that due to the howling NW winds, the parking lot remained mostly snow-free! There was a little crust on the lee side of my car, but that's it. Might need to shovel a little to get out of the lot (if I need to drive anywhere), but that's no big deal. And with a nice blanket of snow on the roof, this old building is a little warmer.
Huge drifts everywhere still, but Newark, at least, is mostly dug out. Still many sidewalks buried deep in snow... but my vintage Sorrells will get me where I need to go.

We heard you're getting a different taste of winter that's a bit unusual for the area, Sean.....
Nice not to have to venture out, but if you do, you're well equipped in the foot dept. !
