I used the original MS Sidewinder joystick with Win 98 and Air Warrior years ago and I want to try one of the newer sidewinders that will work well with XP. I'm reading a lot of gripes about the newer MS sidewinders not working well with XP. I'm using my Logitech Attack joystick now and the only thing that I really miss and need is the hatswitch for more views and twist handle for rudder control.
Any recommendations regarding the sidewinders that will work here? The Logitech Attack seems to be a very good stick and would have been even better with a twist handle and hatswitch.

I do not use a sidewinder but I have a T.Flight Hostas X. It works really well with the Microsoft Flight Sims. In fact the Microsoft Flight Sims are some of the games that it is made for. I highly recommend it. i do believe it is compatible with
XP/Vista/Windows 7. Smiley

My trusty Sidewinder Precision Pro is still giving faithful service after many years of abuse. It works perfectly on WinXP with all the MS sims including CFS2/3 & FSX. Unfortunately I don't think they've been available for a long time.

My Sidewinder Precision Pro works with XP and Windows 7. I have not tried Vista, but I think it should work.
