Hi I have an old Dell dimension 2400 with an intel pentium 4 CPU and I want to replace these things the mobo w/ CPU ram graphic card and hardrive
The CPU I'm looking at is a Intel core 2 quad extreme that works on a socket 775. Ram is 4gb hardrive is 750 gb and mobo would be intel

Ouch, 775, It wouldnt improve much of your gaming; for smoother game-play, and from ive been told (Alot of add-ons =lag)
Go for DDR3 Dimms (RAM)

Remember, to access the full 4gig+ (over) you need to use a 64bit Operating system. XP or Win7 will do

If you got the money, get an SSD for your C-drive, and have a 2TB for your storage (2TB should cost the same as the 750, or just a $20 difference)

Yea I was looking and this isn't a good computer to upgrade so I thought of building my own from cyber pc with a core i7
