Goodly morning... Smiley

Would like to see frozen lakes and rivers during the winter where ski and wheel/ski aircraft can operate off.

Would also like to see unprepared winter airstrips covered in snow and upon landing with a ski equipped aircraft one can see the tracks in the snow after landing and takeing off.
Would be great for doing circuits at some locations.

Blowing snow across airfield and runways would also be a nice touch.

Just some thoughts... Smiley

And broken ice flows on the larger rivers, like the Missouri and Mississippi.

And snow plows working at the airport...ok maybe not.

I did mention this in another thread, realistic winter flying issues such as icing, and contaminated runways.  I don't know if it would be possible to use NOTAM data with the real world weather download, especially since NOTAMS, although standardized, can sometimes have formatting issues.

i could care less about snow/ice on rivers and such...BUT at least let ice build up on the wings and cause a deterioration in flight dynamics? PLEASE?

Hi Jared...good to hear from you again... Smiley

Ice build up on the airframe is a good idea...happens all the time in real aviation and has been the cause of many fatal aircraft accidents.

We used to hear the props throwing ice at the side of the airframe, it sounded like someone was outside the aircraft with a hammer hitting the airframe... Grin

I have had flights where the ice was so thick on the windscreen we were under GCA and prior to touch down we had to use the side windows to judge our height.

"S" Turns for taxiing was the normal for the day on the big tail draggers like the 3s...etc... Wink

Great idea Jared...glad I am old and retired though... Grin
