As of last night I officially sold my custom built FS beast and now using an old Compaq desktop from 2002 that's not bad but defiantly just a temporary fill in till I get a laptop...Took a lot of trial/error and cussing but at least got it usable, can't complain as it was free

Now trying to decide on what laptop to get, planning to order tomorrow morning.  Not planning to use it for to much gaming, just can't get that kinda performance out of a laptop.  Probably install FS9 so I can work on my AI project some but other then that my FS days are over for a couple years till my Army paychecks roll in and I can afford to build another beast to handle it

Looking around at multiple places, already searched my local/surrounding stores but the selection was horrible.  Walmart has one that's not bad but even their $20 "1 DAY" shipping says it wouldn't arrive till early next week   So not bothering with them.  TigerDirect didn't have any in my price range I liked, nor did Staples, Office Depot, Office Max, or Best Buy.

...Figure its about the best bang for the buck.  Has all the features I want, but open to other ideas.  Have $550 max to work with including shipping.  2 things I'm dead set on having, at least a 17" screen, and a decent or preferably HD webcam.  Searched all the websites listed above but those are the only ones I really know much about.  I'm open to input if there's better options out there.  Must be NEW...I had a very bad experience with a refurbished laptop a few years ago that lead to sending back and receiving 5 more before they finally just wouldn't deal with me anymore and I got stuck with one that had a major short in the screen   Prefer to order of a place like Newegg that shipping is fast, don't feel like shelling out $500 and waiting 2+ weeks   Newegg has been pretty good even with free shipping about having stuff on my doorstep within 48 hours of ordering, most of the time its less then 24 hours
