History:

The Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC) Boomerang was a World War II fighter aircraft designed and manufactured in Australia between 1942 and 1945. The Boomerang was significant as the first combat aircraft designed and built entirely in Australia. We hadn't even produced our own car at the time yet alone design, build and put into service a fighter aircraft, and all within a few months.

I've watched this aircraft perform many times on the Australian Airshow Circuit and every time I am amazed by its tubby shape (similar to the Brewster Buffalo) and its design idea; Take a Wirraway fuselage (Australian version of the Harvard/Texan with improved performance), the most powerful engine available at the time stuck on front of this cut down body, modified Wirraway wings and in early aircraft, infantry machine guns strapped into the wing!

This model is quite impressive, mixing FS default sounds with custom sounds to improve performance. There are 3 separate aircraft types and then two models of each, a 'factory standard' and a 'modernized warbird'.

Its cheap too for the quality it has. You can fly (and fight, the guns and cannon can be fired) complete from the highly detailed VC (there is no 2d panel in the traditional sense). I highly recommend this bird if you're after something new and unusual that has character. I use mine for FS Touring as it has wonderful visibility for a 1940's aircraft.

Nice shots, nice looking bird. Smiley

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Thanks. I decided to experiment with different angles for these shots and I think they came out well.
Just wanted to post something about this aircraft as I couldn't find it on any other posts here.

nah, merely bad timing on my part.  I was using FS Recorder and only ended up giving myself 3 seconds to get a shot before the recording on those two ended. Only new to using it.
