Hi guys! I'm having a problem that is really bothering me. Sometimes, after I edit a shot, the file size is double that of which the forum will take. I already loose way to much quality converting to .jpg. Is there a quality-saving way to avoid HUGE files after editing. Help is much appreciated, thanks guys.
I went outside once. The graphics weren't all
that
great.

I notice you use Gimp & Paint.NET for editing. You might like to check out my Resizing tutorials - Reply #2 here -->

For best results save the files as close to the forum limit of 150 kb as possible. This might mean posting less images in a topic.

Thanks, I'll check out your tutorials. The files that are too large are usually just one picture.

If the images are graphics intensive compressing them will still affect the quality. Not much you can do about that except choosing your subject carefully. The rules are the same for everyone.
You could always upload a hi-res version to an image hosting site & post a link to it.

True, and you have been a lot of help. I think I'll see what FlightSims's file size limit is, and then I'll see what I can do with your tutorial, looks helpful!

Yup, not the "origional file" that I wanted to load, but I like this one too...

The file size of that image is just under 50 kb. You would get much better results by reducing the compression & uploading it here. Save it as close to the 150 kb limit as possible. You could also resize it to 1024 pixel width instead of 944.
