Ah, the old left side single float lift off.  Great technique and drag reducer on takeoff - works just as well on ski's.

Actually, it's the right side lift off but nobody was nit-picking...he still got into the air with a nice drag reducing technique........ Cool

Just a single shot?
If there was ever a photo that symbolized the phrase "a picture is worth a thousand words", this is it. Simply awesome shot Ken. Smiley

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Still go with what I said.  You're rolling the right float off the water to reduce drag then lifting off the single left float to get airborne  Smiley

It's a bit over-sharpened for their site, but thanks for the vote of confidence......and to boot, it's hardly an airliner.....last stuff I posted to that site was when they only accepted "airliners"...........

Two weeks ago I posted a comment for a shot by Flying Trucker. I think I can repeat that comment;

I'm in the wrong country.

Great photo Ken. Too bad we don't see that kind of flying or airplane here in this part of Europe.
