I haven't seen any pics, so I might as well..

Warbirdsim came out with a new version of the P-51D Mustang for FSX. As with the earlier B-model, it's made by John Terrell, a young P-51 fanatic and as with the B, he does not dispappoint.
The package comes with 7 different models with paints, all of modern warbirds that still fly today, modelled down to the last rivet.
Here are a few:

'Upopa Epops'
...

'Ferocious Frankie'
...

'Lil'Margaret'
...

'Happy Jack's Go Buggy'
...

as you can see, ggod looking birds. A bit too good looking for my taste, as you may know, I like my birds old and dirty...

So I started peeling paint..

Looks good naked, doesn't it?

no paintkit in the foreseeable future, so don't count on any repaints real soon...

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
