A day trip for work in a 3-series is fine. Never having to turn the wipers off all day and sometimes experiencing solid rain has convinced me once again that Wales is beautiful but under no circumstances will it ever catch fire as it is damper than an in-flight magazine Roll Eyes

Come to think of it, it has always rained everytime I have been to Wales. The only exception was Portmeirion where I don't think it has ever rained when I've been there... But that place is fake and doesn't really count  Grin

I don't think Wales was any different to anywhere else in the UK today.

Do we have any Welsh members these days?

Tell that to the cross winds on the Severn Bridge Doug! Nightmarish. I've driven in terrible conditions before but this was some of the worst I've seen in years!

Its all those Mountains in Wales which encourage the rain...

South Westerly winds force the clouds higher, and precipitation is created...
...generally on me, when I am there on my Motor-bike... Angry...!

It is a very wet place, similar to the Lake District, for the same reasons!

Paul....In the Kingdom of Mercia....and a mere 20 miles from the Welsh Border...and always in fear of an invasion from Owen Glendower, and his motley crew!...... Wink.... Grin...!

I live on the lee side of the Black Mountains so that the rain has already ceased, by the time it reaches me.... Smiley...!

I never have so much fun as I do when I drive mine in the rain, no traction control. No weight over the rear, just the left and right feet working in perfect harmony. Well except the time I binned one  Lips Sealed Grin

When I first saw this thread I thought "What would anyone have against the gentle cetaceans (whales)?" ...Then I checked the spelling. Grin

Strangely, I spelled cetacean right the first time but it took me three tries before spell check even recognized "gentle". Roll Eyes

BOOOOOOO Wales is fantastic.... great scenery ( better than the homeland!) and the weather is always the same... Wet XD but not too bad! And there is a great little floatplane museum in the Pembroke docks area! The best thing about Wales though are the natural speed limiters in the form of all the Sheep out there XD

I want to go there again!!!!
