Good afternoon all...

Proud to say a record turnout all across Canada for our serving military and veterans...

Beautiful warm day it was and the school children, hundreds of them were all well behaved...just awesome Remembrance Day.
Canada lost it's last World War One Veteran this year, he was one hundred and nine years old and they said by the year 2014 there might not be too many World War Two Veterans left as that would put the average age of the Veteran at ninety three years of age.
Last night we had a roast beef supper, mashed and roasted potatoes, brussels sprouts, peas, three or four different types of cold salads, pickles, olives and all kinds of pies.
This was all put on by the Ladies Auxillary of the Legion and everything was home made or cooked at the Legion kitchen.
I think we gained several pounds...

Speeches were short which was good and I received a Long Service Award.
Another thing to add to my "I love me wall"...

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
