hello, I requeting help again for rectifying the RAF texture for Mike Stone`s Britannia, i have downloaded the texture from Avsim, the problem is the fuselage texture does not show, i posted on this site way back, I think HAGAR helped me, suggesting a simple change to the texture file, I am reinstalling Mike Stone`s excellent Brit. on a new PC and ofcourse I have forgotten what the actual fix involved, can someone please help.

I would help if you would provide the exact name of the file you downloaded.

I did a little further testing and found the answer - at least for me.

Assuming the texture file in question from Avsim is named brihw.zip, I finally discovered that I needed to rename one of the texture files in the texture.raf folder.

The file I renamed was originally called fuslgc_t.bmp

When I renamed it as fuslg_t.bmp (the c was removed) the fuselage displayed properly.

Hope that works for you also.

Hello "opa",
My apologies for not giving the name of the file and my thanks for sorting the problem, the file you mention is the one and the fix is how I now remember, I have the fix on back up somewhere on my external drive, however bringing this up again may help someone else who is puzzled on downloading the file.
Again this website sorts out our problems, thanks again  for your time and trouble.

Thanks from me, Opa. I had the same Britannia texture problem as sammach, and you helped me, too.

Now, does anyone have any numbers and procedures for this airplane?
