Is there some way to use the M/S flight planner to make a round robin flight flight from an airport and then land back at the same airport? How can this be done ?

Hey

Try setting your departure airport to the airport that you want to take off / land from and the arrival airport to an airport that is closeby. Then, go to the flight planner map and drag the red line to a VOR / NDB that is halfway around the world. Then, drag the line to the airport that you want to land at. Its crude but it should work. If you're looking for a little more efficiency, look into FS Navigator.

Hi,

This 'trick' was mentioned on microsoft's website years ago, create your flight picking another airport local to your departure and save the flight plan.

You then manually edit the file externally of FS9 and change destination airport to the details you have for the departure airport and resave it but do not change the filename in any way. Leave the file suffix as .pln. Then reload the flight plan within FS9.

regards

Steve.

May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs, but that is due to change Smiley
