Got this from a friend and it looks to be a very useful site.

May be old news to some but not to me  Smiley.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Cool site! I like that they are listed by country, just from that I learned a lot. For example, I had no idea that India built their own fighter jets. One of which has an engine that surprisingly I am familiar with, the Rolls Royce Viper Mk-II. We had a bunch of those engines at the trade school where I earned my A&P. They weren't in running condition, but we got to take them apart and everything. Neat engine. And again, neat site. Smiley

Wow!
Reading about this one on Wiki right now...
http://www.aviastar.org/air/norway/honningstad_5a.php

It's an amphibian with wheel-skis....meaning it can go ANYWHERE!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H%C3%B6nningstad_Finnmark

Here's an image showing the skis! This plane has everything!
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=287752&page=927

EDIT: Another great image and an article with a 3 view and close up of the skis!

According to the aviastar commentary, the pictured aircraft is modded with the addition of the pontoons, taller tail, and apparently the elimination of the ski system. All other images on this post are of the original aircraft.

Known about this site for a few years. I'm surprised most here have not been to the site or heard of it.  Grin
