I have just downloaded Americal West A-318 803 by Francisco Escudero.  When I choose it from the Aircraft menu when the program is running, I get an error message that says it is unable to load for a number of reasons.  I have installed the 9.1 patch from Microsoft and still it fails to load.  I have this aircraft running just fine on another system...XP...this one is Vista.

Suggestions?

Are you sure this is correct?

I've just searched all the FS sites,  plus did a Google search, and no such plane exists from this author.  Undecided

The only result that came up in my Google search for it, was this thread.
This author has done a couple of A318s, but not this particular one that I can find. (and I can usually find anything.  Grin  Wink )

I did find a single America West A-318 for FS9, but it was an FS2002 model by JRLuciarny.

As Opa requested, a link to the file in question would be extremely helpful in this matter.  Wink

Just out of curiosity I tried something. I installed the new Pilatus Porter for FSX SP2 in my FS9 folder to see what would happen if I selected it. It gives a similar error. The aircraft can not be used and will be disabled (not an exact copy of the message).

Are you by any chance trying to fly an FSX plane in FS9?
