"Fly!" or "Fly2K" by Terminal Reality?
My first was Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2, followed by Fly!II, then FS2002, FS2004, and now FSX.

I believe that is ProFlight, or something like that, I had it. My absolute first was Chuck Yeager's ATF on the ole Tandy 1000 back in the 80s, before even Microsoft FS (at least for me).

My first was Chuck Yeager's Air Combat MS-DOS, then Jane's Fighters Anthology and Jane's AH-64D Longbow, then FS2004, CS 2 & 3. There were a few lesser known mixed in. Come to think of it, some Nintendo hang glider may have been the first.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Actually Paul had it with Sierra Pro Pilot. I love this sim.
I don't mind the 400-500 FPS either!

When will FSX run like this? Oh, that's right, never.

My 1st was the DOS thing in '83 WW1, like stick figures, shot down 17 one night! I graduated to a PCX, 286 in '85 with a 10 MHZ HDD and that was greater than s%$#, then FS95, FS98, 2K, 2K2, ect. I still fly Jane's WW2 & Jane's IAF. I still have several programs that are DOS, like Mig Alley & a couple of Jane's thing I don't remember the name of. I'm a junkie. They don't necessarily conform to my new joy stick, but they are still a gas to play.
Flight Sims are almost as good as porn, 3 AM is bed time. Can't imagine why else they built computers.

The delightful thing about Looking-Glasses' Flight Unlimited II/III, Flight!, Sierra's Pro Pilot '99, Pro Flight 2000, Flight Simulator FS2000, Longbow2, Gunship, and various other Flight Sims, etc, was that you had fantastic, highly detailed, comprehensive, Flight Manual Books supplied with them, which I regularly use for reference, even now!
They make educational, Bed-time reading*...excellent for learning Radio Navigation, etc!
We don't get them supplied in the box any more!...

My first simulator was a flight simulator for MSX. Not sure if it was this one:
http://fshistory.simflight.com/fsvault/fs2-msx.htm
. If I remember correctly it had a kind of framewire panel and scenery but once airborn the top of the screen would turn white and your aircraft would be displayed as a black dot which you could move around on some sort of map, I think. Long time ago and I never used it that much.
After that it was FS98, 2000, 2002 and 2004.

Hmmm.... My first one was F-16 Fightin Falcon by Spectrum Holobyte, back in 1985 or 86, I think. Then, I had plenty of good time with Jet Fighter II by Velocity. Gave FS4 a try back then, but I was less than impressed....
After that, a long pause, and resumed with FS2002.
