This seems reasonable, why would someone make this up?
The Titanic steered in the opposite direction of the wheel, and White Star ordered her to steam ahead after impact, causing her to sink hours sooner..

I made the same mistake with a canal boat once, but thankfully didn't sink it. Both the smashing it into the wall and turning the column right when instructed to turn (go) right.
It seems perfectly plausible.

Because no one would buy the book if she told the conventional story.

Not to sure about that.. If she were proven wrong before the book release it would destroy her credability. Allthough, 99 years tends to warp the facts.

I remember reading about this theory some years ago. It's nothing new.

I know, but what is new is Pattons claim to have inside info on the theory. Earwitness accounts.

Nearly as daft as the Chinese guy and the Israeli sitting in a pub having a drink.
Suddenly the Israeli gets up and punches the Chinese guy in the face, yelling "That's for Pearl Harbour" and promptly sits down and carries on with his beer.
The Chinese guy gets up off the floor and says "What the hell are you talking about. The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbour, I'm Chinese you idiot!"
"Chinese, Japanese, you're all the same to me" replies the Israeli.
After a few minutes the Chinese guy leaps up and punches the Isreali in the head yelling "That's for the Titanic" he then sits down and carries on with his beer.
The Israeli guy gets up and says "The Titanic? The Titanic was sunk by an iceberg!"
"Iceberg, Goldberg..." comes the reply
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Nice one Ozzy..
I've always been interested in shipwrecks and I've read many books over the years about them. Oddly, when I was a child they were the only books I was interested in.
