Anyone who might be having a problem with the weps on my A4-E Skykawk here at SimV, might note that the download came with two weps packs. If you installed both try removing either the weapons_00_FREE.bgl OR the weapons_A4-E.bgl. They are different libraries containing precisely the same weps files. Cool

Though I'm pretty much booked this week, I'm gonna find time to test the A4-E weps in a virgin install....a last-ditch effort to duplicate the problem a few folks have reported with this aircraft's weps. Undecided

There's always been something flakey/finickey about all of the AlphaSim weps packs. Over the years there have been constant, if not massive, numbers of folks having problems. However, there was usually a simple fix with a reinstall from another source. This is different. Undecided

Heck, Hagar told me he's having the problem with my A4-E weps too.....and he damn near wrote the book. Shocked

This is a bad month for me, but I'll get to it. Tongue

I'm not having the problem with your A4 weps either, but it would be nice to know what the problem is for the few that are having it.

Well, I'm stymied! Shocked

I've tested the Alpha A4-E Skyhawk (my version downloaded here at SimV) with first the Weapons_Free_00 BGL and the A4-E_weps BGL. Both work equally well for me. And I have tested them in both my standard and fresh CFS2 installs without being able to duplicate the problem that a few folks are experiencing with the weps failing to show. Undecided

Aside from suggesting that you install only one of the weps BGLs, as opposed to both that are included in the download, I can't think of anything else. I can't fix what I can't duplicate. Cry

The download includes a separate ZIP of the A4-E weps (A4-E BGL), as well as having them included in the CFS2 folder (weapons_free_00 BGL) of the download. For simplicity sake, I suggest sticking with the weps included in the CFS2 folder (weapons_free_00 BGL) of the download. Roll Eyes

Shot below is of her with my favorite payload of two 3xMk82, two 150-gal A4 tanks and two AGM-43A Shrike ARMs...

I hear ya! Though I have never had the problem of a weapon failing to appear, I know of several competent folks who have had it (not necessarily on this plane) happen to them...only to have it clear-up without explanation sometime later. Somewhere there has to be an explanation, but I can't find it. Embarrassed

I just tried it in a brand spanking new install of CFS2. Deleting weapons_00_FREE.bgl fixed the problem. The two files are obviously causing a conflict.

That won't fix it for anyone who already has the other BGL installed. How did this mix-up happen?

All they need to do is delete one or the other BGL as you and alapha1 did....I suppose.

No mixup. The A4 weps BGL came packed with the aircraft from AlphaSim as a separate ZIP. I did the DP with the weps FREE BGL. I have both installed and have never experienced any conflict. Sad

Only three people are known to have experienced this problem out of the 2,300 who have downloaded the plane...and they are back in business.
