Since we have a college thread, we should have a NFL thread too. Post your predictions, talk some friendly smack, weep into your friend's shoulder...we won't tell anyone, we swear...

Kicking off week 1 we have my team, the Favres, losing to the Brees's. The Detroit Lions got hosed over a rule that should not exist. Steelers went into overtime, Baltimore squeaked past the Jets 10-9. That's all I watched.

Just a final word from myself about the call against the Lions last Sunday. The very same call was used against the Bears in a Lions/Bears game in 2004, resulting in a Bears loss. I'm including a quote, below, from the Bears web page.
Quote: "
Don’t get me wrong, I’m very happy that the Bears won their opener. But how could that Calvin Johnson catch not be ruled a touchdown? Didn’t he get both of his feet down with possession of the ball? It seems to me that the Lions got robbed.
Kevin
Rockton, Illinois
.....................Answer >>
Lions receiver Calvin Johnson did get both feet down in the end zone with possession of the ball, but the rule requires the receiver to maintain possession of the ball “throughout the process of the catch.” If the receiver goes to the ground, that process is not considered complete until he finishes rolling on the ground. Some may question whether the rule is a good one, but there’s no doubt that referee Gene Steratore made the correct call on the play late in Sunday’s game. It’s actually a rule that has cost the Bears on two previous occasions I can think of. In a 2004 loss at Detroit, Bernard Berrian would have given the Bears the lead late in the game with a 43-yard touchdown reception from Chad Hutchinson. In that scenario, the official ruled that the pass was incomplete because the ball moved. I watched the replay of that catch several times today and I still haven’t seen the ball move. Early in the fourth quarter of a 2008 game against the Saints, Brad Maynard threw a pass over the middle to Adrian Peterson on a fake punt. Peterson caught the ball with both feet on the ground and was tackled. It wasn’t until after he hit the ground that the ball popped loose. The play was ruled an incomplete pass. The Bears challenged the call, but it was upheld after a replay review.

The Rams were so close
I gotta give my props to Sam Bradford. His stats look like he had a bad game, but if you watched it you would be thinking the same thing as me. He played great, although we have 1 OKAY wide reciever, all of them are butterfingers. They dropped so many passes that should have easily been caught. I thought our defense did good also.
They passed 55 times...when we have one of the best running backs in the NFL, we should use him more when we dont have any WR's to throw to.
Feeling confident about week 2 in Oakland.
Sincerely, Tyler

He's to old....sorry to say but I mean when he tells the media that he's uncertain if he could make it throughout the year...I mean he's gotta retire, give the backup a try or invest in a rookie. Although he's just having a rough start, he's a hall of famer so he's gunna have some great games but because he's old he will have some bad ones too.

The NFL is a bit of a muddle right now.
The Chiefs 3-0
chargers 1-2
The Saints looking beatable even for the lesser teams, you have manning putting up great numbers but the colts are scoring well on offense, the same goes for Orton and the Bronco's who is on track for a 5000 + yards season.
The Patriots look ordinary and the Lions are looking not to bad at all. You have the seahawks who one week look like playoff contenders then the next 1st draft pick hopefuls.
Its all just wrong lol.

It's great to finally see my Chiefs doing good after all of the non-years they've had lately.
You'll be hearing alot about McCluster, you see.
I especially like Flowers on defense. I predict a Pro Bowl for that guy. The whole defense is starting to come around.
What looked like a 7 and nine year actually looks alot better then that. I say 10 and six, possibly 11 and 5.
It's better than 10 wins in 3 years. Their draft picks are panning-out and it's a very promising future for my team.
Now if they could only get a better QB.

You have a great QB on the bench by the name of Croyle. Unfortunately they have never given him a chance to show what he can do. I was hoping the Bronco's would have taken him over Cutler. Big arm, but doesn't make the same stupid throws as Jay did. Give him the team now and I think they would really become a dangerous opponent. Right now though, once you get that running game stopped, I just dont see Cassel beating anyone. To bad the running game is rather good

There saying the Rams could make the playoffs this year because our division is the worst in the NFL and we are first place in our division.
The only threat in the NFC West was the 49ers and look how they are playing...

Im not even sure. Maybe we got all cocky because people were saying about how the Rams have a chance to go to the playoffs because were doing good and our division is so bad. 2 wins in a row, going into this thinking it will be an easy win...
And not only that but we lost Clayton which is another decent reciever. Serouisly, look at the Rams WR's....our best WR on our roster is only DECENT compared to other NFL WR'S and he's out for the year. I give Sam Bradford all the credit for having to pass to these no name's who cant catch.

Of course, nothing to do with Cutler throwing 4 interceptions to DeAngelo Hall.
And even after that still saying he'd throw that way all day.
I'm glad he's gone from Denver, all the talent in the world cant make up for a hard head.

I've really nothing to say about Cutler good or bad. Bears offensive line are playing like they've been paid off. Cutlers been sacked so many times this year he may break a record!
Next game is Bears/Buffalo in Toronto and I'm not going because I can't swallow another stupid loss..

I cant see chicago losing to the Bills no matter how well they played against baltimore.
Why miss the opportunity??
Cutler needs receivers badly. And he needs a Brandon Marshall type one first. Someone who can create a little seperation instantly to give Jay at least some sort of option. If Chicago can pick up Vincent Jackson in F/A in the offseason that would be a huge pick-up. Cutler is mobile enough to not need a great o-line he just needs people who are open quickly to catch the ball. Martz's system is not designed for the Cutler type QB though.

History: December 2, 1985. Don Shula's Dolphins handed the bears their only loss of the season, 38-24 in the Orange Bowl. The Bears went on to win the Super Bowl but the second perfect season continues to elude NFL teams to this day.

Webb, I remember that game in 85 quite well. I have it on a Beta max tape! LOL!
No predictions from me,Craig. Except if the Bears are leading at half time they will likely not come out on top. Half time over confidence in the locker room is the worst thing that a coach could let happen!!!

That score surprised me..
I still have a working Beta Camcorder/12 volt input.. plug it in to tv and route it to pc screen. Battery is long gone so I hook it up to a 12v charger..
I have 4 games from 85 on Beta tape!

I'll tell you what I think, you may agree or disagree as you wish. If the NFL players strike again, they will lose one of their biggest fans. I know off season health ins. is an issue but I look at some of these salaries. (And ticket prices)..

This is one of the things that hurts from it all. The Broncos offense was set. Cutler, Marshall, Scheffler, Hillis, Clady. All probowl talent, 4 of those are gone, 3 are tearing it up now, Marshall is a proven talent. In return we got a 2nd round corner back for a 1st round pick and hillis, said corner is gone and lighting it up in detroit, and we all know what Hillis is doing in Cleveland. Scheff is having a great season while Denver has no tight end worth mentioning, And as for Cutler, well we got Orton, who in all fairness is killing it on a record pace, and a wasted pick in Tebow
McDaniels ruined this team and i dont care who takes over. Cant be any worse.

The name slips me, but when the cloth roof collapsed in Montreal it took nearly a year to fully repair. Looks like the Vikings may be spending the rest of the season somewhere else. Perhaps nearby St. Paul has a stadium.

Apparently they are searching for a backup site for the game, uni of minn being first, possibly detroit.
Just watching ESPN sunday countdown, look at soldier field
with winds of 50mph possible you can forget throwing the football, if they can get the field clear enough though with a good lead, I would love to be a kicker with a tail wind like that. Easy new record.

Video: Jets coach trips Dolphins player during game
Quote:
This play happened with 2:58 left in the third quarter, when the Dolphins punted to Jets receiver Santonio Holmes. As Holmes took the ball for a short return, cornerback Nolan Carroll was hurt on the right sideline as he rushed down to cover the play. The replay showed strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi extending his knee just enough to trip Carroll up on the play. Carroll was down for a minute, but returned to play later in the game ...
"I'm not angry," Carroll said. "It's not my problem; it's the Jets' problem. We just move on."
Alosi had this to day in a statement:
"I made a mistake that showed a total lapse in judgment. My conduct was inexcusable and unsportsmanlike and does not reflect what this organization stands for. I spoke to Coach Sparano and Nolan Carroll to apologize before they took off. I have also apologized to (Jets owner) Woody (Johnson), (Jets general manager) Mike (Tannebaum) and Rex (Ryan) I accept responsibility for my actions as well as any punishment that follows."
The league is likely to come down hard on Alosi, if for no other reason than to prevent others from getting a goofball notion and doing the same thing. We suspect that even if Alosi doesn't lose his job, he's probably going to be very light in the wallet and he may be spending some time away from the team facility.

The streak is over
While i think this season was a mistake, the one thing i did want to see was the big 300. But as i just read, that didn't include his 24 playoff appearances, i am happy knowing its well past 300. Time for the old boy to give it up before he really gets hurt. Its just a shame it is unlikely he will get a chance to properly retire a packer.

Jets suspend strength coach for tripping incident
Quote:
The New York Jets have suspended their strength and conditioning coach without pay for the rest of the season for tripping a Miami Dolphins player, the team said Monday.
Sal Alosi was also fined $25,000 for sticking his leg out and causing rookie cornerback Nolan Carroll to stumble during Sunday's 10-6 Dolphins victory in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Jets suspend Alosi indefinitely for telling players to form wall
Quote:
Sal Alosi, the New York Jets strength and conditioning coach who tripped Miami Dolphins cornerback Nolan Carroll during a game Sunday, has been suspended indefinitely by the team after general manager Mike Tannenbaum said "new information has come to light."
Alosi had previously been suspended for the remainder of the Jets' regular season and potential playoff run as well as fined $25,000 for his actions in the Jets' 10-6 loss.
The Newark Star-Ledger reported Wednesday, via Twitter, that Alosi's penalty was increased because the Jets discovered he had instructed players to form a wall on the sideline during a punt return. On the play, a group of inactive Jets players could be seen, along with Alosi, standing together to form a wall as close to the playing field as possible.

I have resigned my Vikes this year. Just ride the season out and pray for a better season next year. I'm on leave up in Packer territory so I went to the game with some Packer fans, just to drink beer eat brats and watch football. I was hoping NY would win so I could shut my friends up about the Vikes but Manning played like Favre...sooooo yeah. Good beer though, and the brats were great!
On a side note, the Forty Whiners finally fired Singletery. LMAO.

People are writing off both NO and indy as they had poor starts to the season, but both have been looking very good as of late.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if we have a repeat of last year.

It is easy to write teams off based on past performance and stats, but odd things do happen. Just look at Seattle, who would have thought a 7-9 team would ever make the playoffs. All it takes is one key turnover, one bad penalty, one shanked field goal attempt, and even the worst teams can win a game.

I dont really mind who wins it as long as its not the Pats. Wouldn't mind Seattle, just to make up for the fix of 2005. But I think NO lost that game last night as much as Seattle won it.

It just isn't fair.. Teams like the Bears and Vikings go decades without a world-class QB.. and The Packers go from Favre to Rodgers (and Majkowski before that).. and have Mark Brunell, Matt Hasselbeck and Kurt Warner come and go as backups
31-36-3TD in a road playoff game, and a rushing TD to boot. Someone's in the zone

The Bears should have finished off Green Bay in the last season game. Before that game, some of the Chicago players were saying this game isn't important and then went to the game and only went through the motions to get the game over with. Now Green Bay is back in thier faces.
(If the bears can win one today.)

Yeah.. big game.. lotsa history.
I'll disagree though, that they went through the motions. They know how dangerous that Packers are right now, and wanted them knocked out... that game was a battle deluxe.
Over the last few weeks; the Packers have shoutout the Jets in NY, and almost beat the Pats in Boston, with Rodgers on the bench.. They just beat the Eagles in Philly, and destroyed the Falcons in Atlanta.. and even though it's in Chicago.. latest line has the Pack favored by 3 ..

Nah.. I wouldn't let you do that to yourself..
I know better than to get confident about a Packer/Bear game.. but right now; they're playing on a different level. Unbeatable in a fragile kinda way.. the wheels can come off for a team on a run.. so I'll just cross my fingers and know that I'll be watching history.

Buy early sell late. The greatest money making scheme ever invented. Unless your team happens to make it. lol
I'm going with the Packers on this one. They are my NFC team and also my second team if the Bronco's miss the playoff's so its quite nice to see them get there.

Sal Alosi resigns as Jets strength coach
Quote:
Sal Alosi resigned as the strength coach of the New York Jets on Monday.
Alosi was originally suspended indefinitely in December after he apologized for intentionally tripping Miami Dolphins player Nolan Carroll from the sidelines during a punt.
"After speaking with Sal, he decided that it is best for him to tender his resignation at this time," Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum said.
Next up - Rex Ryan (if the Jets had any class, which they don't).

I never noticed this before but I don't watch Pittsburgh very often.
History & Origin of the Pittsburgh Steelers Logo
The new Steelmark logo was originally only applied to one side of the helmet (the right side) by equipment manager Jack Hart because the Steelers were uncertain how it would look on their solid gold helmets. Even when they later switched their helmet color to solid black, they decided to permanently retain the logo on just the one side due to the team's new success and the interest generated by the logo's uniqueness. The Steelers are now the only team in the NFL to sport its logo on only one side of the helmet.

From what I have heard, the replacement teams might be of the female genre and wearing lingerie. I just might tune in if not for a few minutes. To check the score of course.
As for the NFL, eff them. They make millions to play a game and they complain enough to drive the organization to a lockout? They call it labor? I hope if they lock out, the next year the fans just don't watch football. Make them see who makes their money for them.

Considering they are paid for performance on gameday and not for training or practice, and being that they may be defence or offence and are not on the field for the full hour, in a season a player may only actually do what he's actually paid to do for 6 to 12 hours per season. Man that's a rough life..
It's time for NLFL. (Ladies league)

The second team was drafted at work, not online, we all picked our teams and then the league manager put the names in manually, I think I picked him in the second round.

Oh okay that makes sense. And Foster is looking like he might not play this weekend either but at least you have a back up QB. Your gunna need to rely on him for awhile...maybe the whole season.

Could have never seen the Dolphins beating the Patriots. Sorry. I don't really believe that Chad Henne is a good QB but he did well last night just not in the red zone. And when your going up against an explose offense such as the Patriots its hard when you can't get anything done in the red zone.
Tom Brady 500+ passing yards and 4 TD's....making history.

Can't win football games when you make stupid mistakes like that. Could have EASILY beat the Giants with the momentum and drives we had in the first half. Red Zone sucked today. 0-3...
Anyone see this....? Faking injuries?? Just pissed me off more when I saw the replay on TV. Half of these NFL players are just becoming a joke.

Anyways Rams move to 0-2....not looking good. And some even tougher teams coming up.

Are you kidding?
This just adds to my NFL conspiracy theory. Which previously poor teams showed miraculous comebacks after national disasters in their territories?
2002 - Patriots (9/11/01 terrorist attacks)
2005 - Saints (Hurricane Katrina)
2010 - Lions (Auto industry collapse and bailout)

The only disaster the lions have overcome is Matt Millen. They've had several good drafts thanks to their high positions year after year, and they've all worked out. Scary team for years to come.
They aren;t quite Green Bay good yet in my opinion but they aren't far off.

I doubt a car factory has to do with them getting Stafford as a QB amongst other top notch players. Remember they haven't played any major top dollar teams yet. Either way I'm pulling for them since my Vikings can't seem to pull their heads out.

Let's just believe they made good draft choices????!
Seriously?
Sorry to break it to you but the Lions are no fluke and neither are their draft choices. People gotta let go of the 0-16 season that was.....3 YEARS ago.
2007-Johnson, Calvin (Ranked 5th in Receiving yards)
2008- Traded picks to get pick #17-Cherilus, Gosder
2009-Stafford, Matthew (Ranked 6th in Passing yards)
2010-Suh, Ndamukong
Looking at the past 4 years their draft class wasn't a sure its pretty good. Its simply amazing. Frankly speaking if Stafford wasn't injured last year this team would have put up a better fight. Lions are easily the most underrated team in the NFL. The real truth is that its not surprising their 5-0 if you look at there squad....the media just makes it surprising because of their 0-16 season so they feel that the Lions should be obligated to have a losing record for the next 10 years. They've rebuild fast and very nicely.
If we wanna talk about a surprising team this year, I'll go with the Bills.
Sincerely, Tyler

Rams get Brandon Llyod
http://www.turfshowtimes.com/2011/10/17/2496021/st-louis-rams-trade-sixth-round-...
...FINALLY. Only took us 5 weeks to realize we need a WR. Remember we still have the easiest schedule for second half. That is if we can beat the niners twice. And remember the niners are going to get what the rams have been playing so I doubt they can keep this up against these other teams (New Orleans, Green Bay, Baltimore, Pittsburg....)
Who knows.
Sincerely, Tyler

Suprise to me. I didn't realize the Bears and Tampa Bay are playing in London England Sunday until just now. I hope the Brits see a good game and begin to understand why Yankee Footaball players wear so much protective gear!

Starting this Sunday at Sun Life Stadium against the Denver Broncos, the Miami Dolphins plan to pay tribute to a different seminal football moment. This first one is honoring the University of Florida’s 2008 BCS national championship team and there is a former Gator from that team on both sides – Dolphins rookie center Mike Pouncey and Broncos starting quarterback Tim Tebow.
Spread: Even (which means the Dolphins shouldn't lose by more than 10)

Tebow!!!!!! I traded him away for Larry Fitzgerald.......
But a great game for Tebow and he gets the win in overtime. Now for the Rams game....ready for a 31-0 shutout

ARGH! I dropped Burress and benched Sanchez, and he scores three touchdowns and Sanchez racks up a solid 20 fantasy points, doubling my starter (Cutler)
Arian Foster got me 43 points though haha

So pissed off that the Chargers just let the Jets come back in the 2nd half. WTF were they doing in the final 2 minutes? Pitiful. Im ashamed to be a Charger fan right now.
On a good note, on my fantasy team i have Marques Colston, Roddy White, and Mike Wallace.. all of them had great contributions!
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Yeah WTH is up with the Chargers passing game?! I get Philip Rivers early in the draft thinking he'll be good. That guy's become a interception machine this year. And I benched Mark Sanchez over him....I don't get it....why does everyone say Sanchez sucks?! He's a solid consistent fantasy QB?? He's now become my starter screw these "fantasy analysts"......they said bench Steven Jackson against Packers and Cowboys....thankfully I didnt listen to them because he did good in both games. Oh well BARELY made it out this week (Earnest Graham, Percy Harvin decided to get injured and Greg Olsen only caught a ball once) but left it up to Adrian Peterson to give me the win.
It's always good to have the #1 (Fred Jackson) and #3 (Adrian Peterson) fantasy running backs on your team.
Went 0-3 and changed my name to I wanna win and been on a 4 game win streak since!

Yep, I'm not listening to the analysts anymore, Sanchez gets a consistent 20 every week. Cutler gives the ball to Forte too often (not that I'm complaining since Forte is my star player) but Cutler doesn't throw enough. He is going on the bench. I'm starting Sanchez now on.

Report: Dolphins owner reaches out to Cowher; Sparano's house for sale
Quote:
Operatives for the Miami Dolphins have contacted people close to former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher about the team's head coaching job, CBSSports.com reported Tuesday.
The report, which cited a source with knowledge of the situation, said team owner Stephen Ross was resorting to back channels to avoid the kind of criticism he received in January 2011 when he publicly courted then-Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh while current Dolphins coach Tony Sparano was still under contract.
Sparano has been under fire all season as the Dolphins have sputtered to an 0-6 start. During last Sunday's loss to the Denver Broncos, NFL.com's Jeff Darlington reported that Sparano shouted at officials that he was in danger of being fired.
Further fueling the speculation that he might be on his way out of Miami, Sparano confirmed a report Wednesday that he has put his Miami area home up for sale ....
Don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out.

I thought it was kinda unclassy for them to keep running the score up in that game...I mean if your gunna keep trying to score (and im sure they weren't trying) but at least put your backups in...and very risky to not bench them cause what if they get injured....
But hey Rams showed the Saints how to play football today.
Maybe some bad karma for them or the Cardinals World Series motivated the Rams to play some great football.
Man I'm beyond happy right now. Steven Jackson and Lloyd both have good games for my fantasy team...actually Jackson had an amazing game running all over the Saints D and Peterson had a good game too. Still have Fred Jackson left today too.
Rams-31
Saints-21
Final
Maybe we can make a run at the NFC West Title...we'll see our first division game next week against the Cards (who blew there lead today against Baltimore)....

Thank you.....now everyone can shut up about how this KC team is forreal this year....
Rams lose a close one but i'll blame the Rams for this one. Stupidity going for it on 4th and 1 with under 2 minutes left in the game when they could have easily made a field goal and tied the game.

Yep, a wacky Week 15 in the NFL...
The Pack loses to Orton, Big Ben's beat up but tried to play, and my 20 Mule Team got a lesson in Offense, courtesy of Mr. Gisele Bündchen and the Pats.
Oh well... it was a
good
loss for the Broncs; gives them a chance to take stock, correct some faults, and try to get healthy before the Mile High Shootout vs. Orton. Man, we need McGahee and Dawkins back!!

Man accused of trying to bribe deputy with Dolphins tickets
Quote:
A man charged with offering a police officer two tickets to today's Miami Dolphins pro football season finale to avoid arrest might be mostly guilty of overestimating their value, a judge said at the man's bond hearing this morning.
Eric Scott Topalian, 23, of suburban Boca Raton, is charged with two counts each of possessing controlled drugs without a prescription, bribery of a public servant, threatening a public servant and resisting arrest without violence ...
"Have you been watching the Dolphins? No one's going to go to that game,"
Palm Beach County Judge Timothy P. McCarthy told Topalian.
Topalian began to say something but the judge admonished him that it probably would be better if he didn't discuss the potential value of an alleged bribe while he still was considered innocent until proven guilty.
"
Miami-Jets tickets aren't worth a damn,"
McCarthy said, and reduced Topalian's bond accordingly, ordering him held in lieu of $6,000 bail.

Rams put up a great fight in the last game this year. Spags will be gone next year, kinda happy kinda sad to see him go but rumors are Jeff Fisher might be coming back to coaching and the Rams will get him.
As much as I hate Josh McDaniels (our offensive coordinator)...I just found out that if he goes, Lloyd is following him. I want him to leave so bad but don't wanna lose Lloyd. Lloyd said his "ties are with McDaniels, not the Rams" ...
Well after a 7-9 season last year I thought this year would be a turn around but I was wrong. Having most of our players injured after week 1....Rams go 2-14, and have 2nd overall pick. Mock Drafts say we'll get Matt Kalil (OL from USC) but I'm praying we get Justin Blackmon and go for a new Offensive Lineman 2nd round. If Lloyd is gone Bradford's season will be much harder.
Just when I though the Rams were done rebuilding last year I was obviously wrong. Still got a few years ahead of us to get back to a winning record and into the playoffs. And now the Niners are some new type of power house. Don't see that sticking for long with their offense. They're first year with Singletary was a success and the next were busts. Not saying Harbaugh isn't good (because I think he's great) but he's gotta get a better offense. Starting with getting a franchise QB....even though that's kinda the GM's job
.
Well overall a VERY fun and exciting season. Can't wait for Playoffs and next year.
Sincerely, Tyler

Thanks to Arian Foster and Lesean McCoy sitting out the last game, I lost the championship game in my league. Didn't even click that they would be sitting out, so I left them in my lineup.
Oh well, second place isn't bad for my first ever fantasy league season.

NO at SF
I've never seen a more one sided offense in my life.
Brees 40/63 passes for 462 yards and only 14 runs.
462 yards is a lot but it's less than 10 yards/pass. Smith completed 24 for 299 yards and 22 runs. Shut down NO's passing and you shut down their offense.

Going 'head hunting' for a bounty never does anyone any good... just ask the New Orleans Saints!
Head Coach Sean Payton: 1 yr. suspension from the NFL.
Def. Coordinator Gregg Williams (Now with STL): Banned INDEFINITELY from the NFL.
General Manager Mickey Loomis: Banned for the first 7 games of the '12-'13 Season.
Assistant Coach Joe Vitt: Banned for the first 6 games of the '12-'13 Season.
The TEAM:
Fined $500,000.00 USD
Forfeiture of their 2nd Round Draft picks for the 2012 AND the 2013 NFL Draft.
Was it worth it, guys?
Oh yeah... and Timothy Richard Tebow is now a NY Jet.

I would be really stunned that if the NFL did a REAL investigation of all the teams in the league, tons more of these types of deals would be uncovered. I think they tried to make an example of the Saints, to make the others snap in line.

Just so stupid for the Rams to keep Williams. Pisses me off because it makes no sense. He probably won't ever be able to coach again, they need to just fire him. The Rams are trying to "rebuild" ...but how can you do that if you hire an inactive coach.
Looks like this season might be another tough one as a Rams fan....unless they get Justin Blackmon ....................

Miami Dolphins' Jim 'Mad Dog' Mandich's son Nick to try out
Quote:
Jim "Mad Dog" Mandich was a part of the undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins team. Now, his son Nick has been invited to try out for the same franchise.
Nick Mandich, a tight end, the same position as his father, played at Southern Connecticut State University, where he collected 37 catches for 303 yards over three seasons and impressed the team during Miami's workout day before the draft ...
Cute but I doubt he'll make the team.
