Wow...awesome... Wink

There are several towns/cities here that have separate Kite and Balloon Festivals.

Several of our children and grandchildren are avid Kite Flyers but like anything else here it is getting expensive to go competitive.

I built an old Box Kite from scraps which I flew for several years and had many many hours of pleasure from it.

Your post makes me want to go out and buy a Box Kite now as we are in the perfect location for flying one.
I am wondering why I have not seen any one flying kite here, I know they have a club at the old military airfield across the bay, there is a radio control model aircraft club there as well with monthly meetings and an air show once a year.

With the open soccer fields, sports fields and ball diamonds next to the water the winds would be perfect.  This is a big sports town/city so there are lots of sports fields available.

Perhaps I might just give it a try, all the police can do is come by and tell me there is a Bi-Law against it.  May be I should call first just to save my money... Roll Eyes

Again excellent shots... Wink
