If you are looking for a great read that gives you a real laugh every few pages and a chuckle every other page, then can I recommend, "The sex lives of cannibals" by  J Maarten Troost. The best book I have read in long time.
He follows his girlfriend to the pacific island of Tawara. She is an aid worker and is posted there for 2 years. It is the story of the stay.  Everything from no water to incompetent government officials via stoned locals, sharks and disposable nappies. You will not be disappointed.

Sounds like a great read.

Just finished Closing Time: A Novel (the sequel to Catch-22) by Joseph Heller.

Our library doesn't have the book, but they have a exchange system where I can have it sent to this one.

Looking forward to reading it Wink
