Goodly evening all...
So what prompted this thread you all ask...?
Flying Trucker is on a rant again...right????????you bet...
I was sitting here admiring the pictures in the Graphics Forum like I do several times a day when I get a chance.
Well several things came across my mind and I was wondering if I should ask a few questions.
While you are reading this post take a look at your computer desk...what do you see besides the monitor, keyboard, speakers, yoke, joy stick and dust...and dust and dust...
...okay enough said on the dust...
When I was away from home flying the children would hide little packages of homemade candy like fudge, perhaps some various different kinds of nuts or some home made chocolate in my flight bag or suit case. They were wrapped in various different things like old maps, aluminum foil, catalogue paper...etc...etc.
Things like Zip Lock Bags were not around then, so, sometimes the odd piece of chocolate was a little messy to say the least...but it was the thought behind it that mattered most.
As flying retirement got closer, the children married and with families of their own, the treats got less and less but they never ceased...never!
The odd day when the old girl had gone with the nattering nannies somewhere and I decided to take the bugsmasher over to visit some of the old retired flying geezers there would be a little package, wrapped up, just several mouth fulls of the best home made treat you could imagine sitting on the passenger seat.
How the old girl knew...no idea...
Now I use this electronic gizmo for more than an IFR Training Aid, I like to visit this site frequently, several times a day, perhaps more than some of you wish...
I do not always do a Simviation Flight every day, more like one a week...hey I am not dead yet you know...still have a life....
...LMAO...but they are becoming more frequent and thanks to the many many many folks here I am posting some shots....OWWWW....the old girl thinks you folks have created a monster....
But...don't you hate my butts???
Since I have become more active on these "Forums" I am finding the odd treat on my computer desk, yes...yes...next to the monitor.
They are not always home made now, sometimes there is red or black licorice, perhaps store bought goodies but yes they are here right in front of the monitor.
So what is on your computer desk?
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

I wonder if you are aware just how blessed you are Doug?
As to what is on my computer desk, you do not want to know.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

As I'm currently lurking in my house in Hungary I've got a pile of books, cables, disks, paper oh and a TV with a VCR and DVD attached... and a really sweet picture of my wife and daughter when my little girl was nearly a year old, she is 6 next week!
Oh and some junk my wife just dumped here
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!
